This training will not only provide a comprehensive overview of healthy home/safety issues; but also emphasize testing/assessment equipment and protocols, as well as low cost mitigation for these issues:

This training will consist of 20 hours of training of which be a combination of classroom and hands-on diagnostic/assessment skill-set training. Segments of the training are:

 Registration Fee
Due to support from our local partners, the registration fee for this 2 1/2-day training will be $80 per participant. Payment is due before the beginning of the training and is payable by cash, check or money order. The registration fee covers all training and materials as well as breaks; lunches will be on your own.
Cancellation/Refund Policy: For a 100% refund (less a $50 processing fee) cancellations and refund requests must be in writing and received by MSU Extension 10 days prior to the event. Any cancellation received less than 10 days before 10/24/2011 will not be refunded. No refunds will issued after the training begins.
Travel Scholarship
Due to generous funding through ARRA funds, the first 60 participants to request a travel scholarship will receive $500 to offset transportation, accommodations and other travel-related expenses. Participants must be from outside the training area and attend the entire training; scholarships will be paid by check and will be mailed approximately 2-3 weeks after the last day of the training. Confirmation of receipt of a travel scholarship will be emailed along with registration confirmation. Sign-up for the travel scholarship is located on the registration form.

Location & Hotel Information
The training will take place at the Kewadin Casinos Hotel and Convention Center. Click here to go to Kewadin's web page. A block of rooms is being held at Kewadin. The rooms are available at the special rate of $75 (single or double), $85 (triple) and $95 (quad) plus tax; This rate includes $10 in gold coin tokens per night. Airport shuttle service is available. To make reservations call the hotel directly at (906) 632-0503. Make reservations by September 26, 2011 and state that you are with the Tribal Healthy Homes group (Code: 9F44YT) in order to receive the published rate.
